Neath Port Talbot is home to over 140,000 residents, serving an area rich in heritage, culture, industry and technology. We are a place where people are genuinely proud to live, learn, work, and raise their families.

As an authority, we are ambitious, driven and have a clear vision to bring about significant investment to our thriving communities. There are many projects under way here of national and international importance, including the Wildfox Resort, GCRE and the Celtic Freeport. which will unlock the widest possible opportunities for Wales by accelerating innovation, while fast-tracking modern skills for new green industries and national decarbonisation. 

We’re home to stunning landscapes, from the valleys to our beaches, providing an excellent quality of life for the diverse communities who live here. But we know we have more potential to unlock. Over the last few years, we’ve made huge progress in transforming our services, encapsulated through our Corporate Plan which promises to RECOVER, RESET and RENEW. 

Our new Chief Executive will play a key role in delivering our ambitions, through their relationship with our staff, senior officers, political leaders, external partners and both Welsh and UK Government.
